Atomflo™ 400-Series Plasma Systems
The heart of the Atomflo atmospheric plasma system is our Atomflo™ 400 controller. This desktop unit includes a variable-power RF generator, an auto-tuning matching network, and a gas delivery system with two mass flow controllers to precisely monitor and control the process gases. The user-friendly interface offers locked and timed modes, and serial communications of process conditions for data-logging functionality. The Atomflo is a variable-chemistry plasma system, so you can tailor the plasma chemistry to meet your needs by simply feeding different reactive gases to the system. You can easily create a oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, or fluorine plasma, all with the same plasma controller! The unit can be set up in 10 minutes, and operation is simple and trouble-free.

Atomflo™ 400 Controller
Atomflo™ 400L Series
The Atomflo™ 400L Series is a powerful, high-speed
linear-beam plasma system . This design is particularly useful for
integrating atmospheric plasma treatment into other production tools, or mounting to a desktop robot as shown in the picture
below. The plasma can clean and activate the surface prior to
bonding. The Atomflo™ 400L Series is available with either the AH-250L (one-inch) or AH-500L (two-inch) linear-beam applicators.

Atomflo™ 400C System
The Atomflo™ 400C is a hand- or robot-held atmospheric plasma
system with a showerhead plasma applicator with an active treatment area of 25 mm in diameter.
The applicator has a simple, robust design that is virtually indestructible and completely safe. Easily manipulate the Atomflo™ plasma source to treat
objects of any size or shape.
The AH-250C plasma applicator
pictured below and is ideal for many materials processes, including surface activation for adhesive bonding, cleaning, and etching of organic films.
For these applications, the instrument is supplied with helium and a reactive gas such as oxygen or hydrogen. All you have to do is to attach the gas cylinders to the unit, plug it in to an
electrical outlet, purge the lines, and turn the instrument on. Please note that since the applicator produces oxygen atoms and
a small amount of ozone, you should operate the source in a well
ventilated area, such as inside a fume hood.

Atomflo™ 400D System
The Atomflo™ 400D System is used for atmospheric plasma-enhanced
chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). A
picture of the AH-250D source is shown below. The volatile precursor that contains the elements required in the plasma coating is fed separately to the
source. The precursor and plasma gas mix together, react, and deposit the desired
thin film. For example, tetraethoxysilane may be combined with an
oxygen plasma to deposit glass for scratch resistance, corrosion protection, or to act as a moisture barrier. We also offer delivery systems that precisely meter the precursor vapor into the coating process. The A-PD precursor delivery system includes a temperature-controlled bath, gas manifold system with vent/run and dilution mass flow controllers, which provide accurate delivery of precursors to CVD processes.

Atomflo™ 400T System
The Atomflo™ 400T is a tubular plasma system that operates
under atmospheric pressure which allows it to be easily
inserted into other production tools for in-line surface
treatment of tubes, wires, fibers, and medical stents. Material is fed into
the tubular inlet and pulled through the other side. The
outside diameter of the material is treated to increase the
surface energy and clean the surface prior to bonding,
marking, coating, or painting.
The low-temperature plasma can process many different
materials, including polymers, metals, and composites.
Treatment is very fast and effective and can be tailored to
treat precise sections of the material.
The tool operates with helium and oxygen. Operation is simple and trouble free.
