SURFX TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS HANS GREGORY WOOD AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND PRESIDENT
CULVER CITY, CA. - September 25, 2008 — Mr. Wood has over 20 years of senior management experience in
finance, business development and sales & marketing for U.S. and international corporations including BF
Goodrich and American Microwave Technology. Most recently he was Chief Executive Officer and President
at Emergent Respiratory Products, a manufacturer of noninvasive ventilation medical devices.
